Previously, WEPG has been involved with the issues detailed below. For details of current campaigns click the links on the left.

In 1996 greenfield sites at Haybridge on the outskirts of Wells were threatened with a development of 400 new homes. Following an intensive public awareness campaign WEPG successfully fought for houses to be built on brownfield sites on Glastonbury Road and Strawberry Way.

It fiercely opposed Mendip District Council's proposal to develop Princes Road in Wells for a major new shopping area.

WEPG has also helped Haybridge residents with problems associated with dust, noise and smoke from the demolition business of L. A. Moore.
